NOBO Electric Radiators by Dimplex
NOBO electric radiators by Dimplex are low-consumption electric convectors designed in the cold Norwegian lands.
Thanks to a resistance with the largest heat exchange surface on the market and an innovative electronic thermostat, compliant with the EcoDesign ErP 2018 LOT20 regulations, NOBO electric radiators by Dimplex heat the room evenly through natural convection.
With the optional thermostats, it is also possible to fine-tune temperature control and manage them directly via a smartphone app, saving energy and optimizing management.
Modern Design and Functionality
Modern and reliable, NOBO electric radiators are capable of distributing heat via natural convection, releasing warm air from the top of the product without forced ventilation. Their absolute silence makes them perfect for all environments. The sleek, clean lines and rounded corners with a clear Nordic look ensure they blend with any space and decor. They can be wall-mounted using the included brackets or easily transported thanks to the optional base with wheels.
How Does It Work?
NOBO electric radiators are a low-consumption electric heating system that works through natural air convection.
Installed near the floor, they are able to draw in the cold air that typically settles at the bottom. The air is then heated by the wide-surface resistance. In this way, the warm air rises, exiting from the top of the product and distributing throughout the room.
The room is thus heated evenly, increasing comfort and the enjoyment of natural, healthy warmth. One of the distinguishing features of NOBO electric radiators is the resistance that operates at low temperatures (maximum 80°).
Advantages
- Does not burn oxygen or dust, preventing damage to the respiratory system, dry mouth, burnt odors, and fire hazards.
- The warm air released does not accumulate at the top of the room but heats the environment evenly.
- The radiator's consumption remains low due to optimized energy use.
NCU-2Te Thermostat
NOBO electric radiators are supplied with the innovative NCU-2Te digital thermostat, compliant with EcoDesign 2018 regulations. It features an adaptive function that allows the radiator to turn on ahead of schedule to have the room warm at the set time.
How Many Watts Do You Need?
To choose the right Norwegian electric radiator, consider the surface area and volume of the space to be heated, the level of insulation, and the number and quality of the windows.
50W per square meter
A good sizing rule is to calculate around 50W per square meter to be heated. For example, a 750W electric radiator is usually sufficient for a 15m² room. However, the age of the building and the climate zone should not be underestimated. For new A-rated homes, you may need only up to 40W per square meter, while older homes with poor insulation may require up to 80/100W per square meter.
An Electric Radiator Under Each Window
It is generally better to install an oversized radiator rather than one that is undersized. In rooms with surface or volume near the threshold between models, we recommend choosing the more powerful model. Generally, this does not lead to higher electricity consumption but increases the radiator's efficiency, allowing it to heat the room more "agile" and faster. In particularly large rooms, it may also be advantageous to install multiple smaller units instead of one large, powerful one to achieve better heat distribution.
The ideal installation point for each radiator is under each window, as it is where cold air tends to accumulate most.
Practical Tips
Radiators should be installed about 10/20 cm from the floor. Cold air, being denser than warm air, tends to settle at the bottom.
The Norwegian electric radiator, by heating the cold air, increases the temperature evenly throughout the room.
