Grohe 42300000 Flow Limiter for Cisterns

Grohe 42300000 flow restrictor for concealed cisterns: fewer splashes from the toilet

Have you fitted a modern rimless toilet and now water splashes onto the floor every time you flush? It is often not the ceramic at fault, but too strong a flow from the cistern.

The Grohe 42300000 flow restrictor is the genuine accessory that reduces the flush flow without spoiling the cleaning action – for a clean, dry bathroom.

Compatibility and specifications

Check that it suits your installation:

• ✅ Valve: for the AV1 flush valve (pneumatic or mechanical).
• ✅ Systems: GD2 cisterns, Rapid SL and Uniset installation frames.
• ✅ Material: tough, corrosion-resistant plastic.
• ✅ Diameter: approx. 35 mm, fits into the valve seat.

🛠️ Fitting in 3 steps

No plumber needed – it takes a few minutes through the flush plate opening:

1. Remove the flush plate and lift out the AV1 flush valve.
2. Press the 42300000 flow restrictor onto the bottom of the valve (as shown in the technical drawing).
3. Refit the valve and the plate – the flow is reduced straight away.

Other benefits

As well as cutting splashes on rimless toilets, a calmer flow is gentler on the seals. There is no need to replace the whole cistern: this small genuine Grohe spare part is all it takes.
